Baseline Performance Assessment

This assessment provides a comprehensive performance review and analysis of the Operating System, File System, Disk Subsystem, Database and Application environments delivering a complete, detailed graphical report of findings and recommendations for performance enhancements.

Capacity Planning

The capacity planning service projects the impact of changes in existing workload, including growth and consolidation as well as changes to the infrastructure. The results of the capacity analysis are delivered in a detailed and comprehensive graphical report.

Configuration Planning Workshop

This service is a starting point for new application implementations. Optimal planning for a new environment allows the application of our vast experiences from other environments to ensure best practices for HPUX, Oracle and several types of disk subsystems. The workshop includes review of HP-UX and Oracle configuration parameters, memory allocation, file system configuration and IO subsystem layout. Good planning and proper configuration of the environment enables new implementations to achieve "Best In Class" performance out of the starting gate.

Server Consolidation

IT consolidation is a complex effort and the results are in the best case rewarding in both simplification of management and reduction in cost; however, without adequate capacity to support the business, a consolidation effort can result in disaster. IIS offers a comprehensive consolidation assessment service to accurately quantify the current capacity requirements, covert those requirements into a standard unit of throughput and provide accurate recommendations for the consolidation target architecture.

Customized Engagements

In order to provide the necessary assistance to customers whose needs do not fit into the parameters of our standard services, IIS offers customized engagements. IIS consultants are prepared to work closely with customers to create a mutually agreed upon list of activities that are required to meet specific customer goals. The requested activities create the customized engagement. Some benefits of customized engagements are maximum flexibility of deliverables, focus on specific customer needs, and customer determined length and total expense of the engagement.
