On-Site Deployment Services

Services are delivered on Site.

Requirements

Fiber Channel (FC) SAN Visibility Report
Server platforms must be supported by the EVA being installed
Existing FC SAN must be a supported configuration as defined in the HP SAN Design Guide
A supported server for Command View EVA installation/configuration must be provided
Service is limited to up to sixteen (16) hosts - max three (3) different operating systems (EVA6x00/8x00). Four (4) hosts - max two (2) different operating systems (EVA4x00)

Deliverables

Plan

Assessment/ recommendation/verification of the overall FC SAN architecture & servers ability to meet supportability requirements
Development of a customized Array Group & Virtual Disk design

Deploy

Assist with installation/upgrade/configuration of FC HBA device drivers, firmware, BIOS and Multipath software on designated hosts
Assist with firmware upgrade/fabric configuration of up to two existing FC SAN switches or installation/configuration of up to two new FC SAN switches (40 ports or less) which are to be directly connected to the EVA
Installation/configuration of Command View EVA on designated management server
EVA installation/startup/initialization
EVA Disk Group(s) & Host(s) configuration
Virtual Disk provisioning to selected hosts
Scheduling of HP Support personnel to install/configure HP standard EVA remote monitoring tools, as applicable
Creation of configuration documentation using HP Configuration Collection tools
Provide As-built documentation

Business Copy EVA Deployment Service

On-Site Deployment Services

Services are delivered on site.

Requirements

Operational and HP supported EVA/SAN/Server configuration in place; including Command View EVA management server
Fiber Channel (FC) SAN Visibility Report
Customer to provide two servers per operating system – three (3) OS max – on which to deploy
• Service is limited to creation/deployment of an individual BC EVA job on up to three (3) host pairs (each pair with same OS) where one server serves as the data source and the other as a remote mount of the replicated data

Assessment/ recommendation/verification of the overall FC SAN architecture & servers ability to meet supportability requirements
Design of a Business Copy EVA configuration for a given copy set

Deploy

Installation of the Business Copy EVA license
Installation of HP Replication Solutions Manager (RSM) management software on the Command View EVA management server and RSM agent software on the designated hosts
Installation of the HP Storage System Scripting Utility (SSSU) on the designated hosts
Creation of single EVA BC job for each of the three (3) host pairs using RSM or SSSU software; where one server serves as the data source and the other as the remote mount of the replicated data
Execute appropriate verification tests (including clone, snap, split, mount, normalize, etc.)
Provide one (1) orientation session of up to two (2) hours in duration on product and/or technology
Additional custom Business Copy scripting can be quoted upon request.
