Requirements

  • Operational and HP supported EVA/SAN/Server configuration in place; including Command View EVA management server
  • Fiber Channel (FC) SAN Visibility Report
  • Customer to provide two servers per operating system – three (3) OS max – on which to deploy
  • Service is limited to creation/deployment of an individual BC EVA job on up to three (3) host pairs (each pair with same OS) where one server serves as the data source and the other as a remote mount of the replicated data
Deliverables

Plan

  • Assessment/ recommendation/verification of the overall FC SAN architecture & servers ability to meet supportability requirements
  • Design of a Business Copy EVA configuration for a given copy set

Deploy

  • Installation of the Business Copy EVA license
  • Installation of HP Replication Solutions Manager (RSM) management software on the Command View EVA management server and RSM agent software on the designated hosts
  • Installation of the HP Storage System Scripting Utility (SSSU) on the designated hosts
  • Creation of single EVA BC job for each of the three (3) host pairs using RSM or SSSU software; where one server serves as the data source and the other as the remote mount of the replicated data
  • Execute appropriate verification tests (including clone, snap, split, mount, normalize, etc.)
  • Provide one (1) orientation session of up to two (2) hours in duration on product and/or technology

Continuous Access EVA Deployment and Configuration Service

 

On-Site Deployment Services
Services are delivered on Site.

Requirements

  • Operational and HP supported EVA/SAN/Server configuration in place; including Command View EVA management servers at local and remote sites
  • Fiber Channel (FC) SAN Visibility Report
  • Completion of Continuous Access EVA (CA EVA) application/design assessment showing supportability & data throughput characteristics of the replication environment
  • Service is limited to creation/deployment between two (2) arrays of up to eight (8) CA EVA DR Groups with no more than 20 Virtual Disks in each group
Deliverables

Plan

  • Assessment/ recommendation/verification of the overall FC SAN architecture & servers ability to meet supportability requirements
  • Design a CA EVA configuration

Deploy

  • Installation of the Continuous Access EVA licenses
  • Assist with appropriate FC SAN switch configuration to support CA EVA
  • Creation of CA EVA DR groups via Command View EVA
  • Execute appropriate CA EVA verification tests (including replication, failover/failback, normalization, etc.)
  • Demonstrate remote host access of up to three (3) DR groups after failover
  • Provide one (1) orientation session of up to three (3) hours in duration on product and/or technology
  • Additional custom scripting can be quoted upon request.

 

SAN Health Check Assessment Service

 

Infrastructure Health Check Services
Services are delivered remotely over a one-week period. Data collector tools are installed to collect SAN firmware and HBA driver information. Results are analyzed and a customized best practices document is prepared with remediation recommendations.

LAN Design Requirements

  • Connected equipment must be in compliance with IEEE standards implemented in deployment
  • Router and switch software licenses
  • Service is limited to up to two (2) layer-3 core devices and up to four (4) layer-2 access devices with up to four (4) VLANs
  • Service includes design of up to one (1) IGRP routing protocol and up to two (2) MIST spanning-tree instances
