Senior Network Architect
Job Description
IIS is seeking a full time Senior Network Architect in the NYC area who is well versed in Cisco and HP networking support. Excellent written, oral communication skills and a CCNP or MASE HP Networking Certification are required. This candidate must be well versed in the following network related security technologies: 802.1x, firewalls and Network Access Control (NAC). These requirements along with senior routing/switch experience are preferred.
Desired Skills & Experience
Knowledge of routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF, RIP2, BGP; Gateway (GLBP/VRRP), VLANs, Spanning tree, LACP Etherchannel, Wireless access points, VoIP, SSH and TACACS administration, IOS configuration procedures and operational problem resolution best practices is required. Must have a background in network based desktop connections with NAC, Security and 802.1x to provide enhanced desktop based network segmentation. Must have hands-on experience with Cisco and HP IOS configuration, router/switch and wireless. Knowledge of Virtual Connect, and Flexfabric configurations are very desirable.
Responsibilities include:
-Leading Presales network initiatives
-Proposal creation and product quoting
-Network design and hands on deployment
-Vendor escalations and helpdesk based incident tracking for the networking environment

We are currently seeking an experienced technical leader to accelerate growth of our Red Hat consulting practice.
Desired Skills & Experience
This Red Hat Practice Manager should have the following background:
• Thorough understanding of Networking, Redhat clustering, SAN technologies
• Ability to perform customer demos of traditional RHEL products
• Ability to define use cases and IIS value solutions around REV, Gluster, Cloudmaps, and other new Red Hat offerings
• Ability to set up lab and demo environment
• Ability to collaborate with sales and vendors to define the best services to meet customer needs and drive revenue
• Ability to contribute to the hiring of top talent as the practice grows
Responsibilities Include:
• Manage vendor relationship
o Maintain relationship with local and corporate Channel RH sales and technical personnel.
o Participate and host vendor meetings
o Maintain all RH certifications
o Attend product training and certification as needed
o Help establish and maintain training and certification requirements for delivery consultants and sales personnel
• Become familiar with sales promotions and explain them to the sales team
• Coordinate Service based subcontractor leads from Redhat
• Help define and fully create IIS value proposition around Redhat products
• Help drive sales by providing configurations and design
• Help drive consulting services
• Help establish best practice guides for consultants and customers
• Maintain up to date knowledge of all new products
• Help drive marketing initiatives, seminar, webinars, web demos
• Write success stories and customer case studies
• Assist with Vendor escalations as required
